A veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, Carl served as a Combat Medic where he honed his skills in emergency response and crisis management. Transitioning to civilian life, Carl served as a Montgomery Police Officer before joining the Alabama State Troopers, where he spent over a decade specializing in motor carrier safety.

During his tenure as a Motor Carrier Safety Unit Trooper, Carl completed Level I, II, and III Roadside Inspections, New Entrant Safety Audits, and Compliance Investigations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards in commercial vehicle operations.

In his most recent role as a Special Agent and Federal Programs Manager with the United States Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Carl continued his dedication to safety enforcement and education. He conducted Level I Roadside Inspections, New Entrant Safety Audits, and Compliance Investigations, while also providing invaluable insights into regulatory updates through presentations on topics such as hours of service, drug and alcohol regulations, and hazardous materials.
